What can I expect from an on-site consultation?
We start with an initial consultation where we examine the project and come up with a vision and design direction. We then layout the steps and begin initiating them to get things moving. While each situation is unique, those initial steps typically include color selection, basic furniture arrangement and when needed, construction recommendations. As things progress and more input is called for, we schedule additional in-home consultations. In my experience, it’s better to let “steps 5 and 6” unfold after completing “steps 1, 2 and 3”—when the energy has really begun to shift—rather than trying to plan it all out at the beginning. Throughout the project, I am available for “mini consultations” over the phone or via email.

Helping to flush out a design concept with examples and images
Approving, locating and/or designing the perfect piece(s) to create your space
Purchasing items only available to the design trade
Choosing the perfect paint colors
Curating and placing your art and decorative objects to further facilitate the vision
Choosing a pallet for exterior color and designing hardscapes and landscapes to maximize your “mouth of chi”
Reviewing construction and renovation plans to ensure a good flow
